Countess Haig was, at that date, the widow of Field Marshall Earl Haig who led the British troops in the First World War. A lovely clean copy internally. 256 pages. 12 lovely full-page tissue-guarded colour plates by Arthur Rackham. Decorated end-papers. An interesting copy of the first Rackham illustrated edition.
