Front hinges cracked. 567pp + 8pp index. 8 illustrations (of 9). The "Marketing" illustration is absent. There is no evidence of its removal and it may not have been inserted in this edition. The book's lengthy title also refers to "hints to masters and instructions to servants: observations calculated tro diminish expense and to promote comfort in housekeeping; monitions for the preservation of health and a copious collection of receipts for family purposes and occasional circumstances".
